GMS was founded in 1984 by Heinrich Hueser (born 1938), who headed the company as managing director (C.E.O.) until 2020.
In 2020, he decided to hand over the business to younger hands and found a successor in Hamid Samani, who has extensive international trading experience.
Since then, Mr Samani has modernised and expanded the company and, together with his team, is committed to equipping customers’ ships quickly and reliably at a fair price and supplying every spare part worldwide.
GMS is based in Norderstedt near Hamburg.
